I got this little table and chair at a consignment store for $10 total! What a deal! I knew as soon as I saw them that I should buy them and paint them for Dylan's new "Big Boy Room" (I'm going to replace his crib with a twin bed and have already moved my computer out of his room so he'll have more space for his own stuff!) I bought craft paints to match the greens, browns and taupes in his new comforter that will go on the new bed, but I still didn't know how I was going to paint the table and chair until I actually got the brushes out and started working on it. I made a few changes along the way, but ultimately came up with color blocked parts on the chair and stripes on the table top. I think it turned out really cute and Dylan is very pleased. (By the way, the cats kept trying to "help" with this project, but other than getting some cat hairs in the paint, they didn't add much of a contribution!)
