On Monday, June 23rd, Dylan had his very first dentist appointment for an initial check-up and cleaning. I thought he would be nervous or scared but he loved the whole experience. Little Pearls in Landsdowne is a really great, kid-oriented place so both Evan and Dylan had a really good experience there.
After the appointment, my Mom and I took Dylan to the mall for lunch and Nana bought Dylan a new stuffed cat to add to his massive kitty collection. He instantly fell in love with it and named it "Scratchy." He wanted to play in the play pit after lunch but he promptly fell asleep with Scratchy in his arms and snoozed through the rest of the mall visit, the transfer to the car, the drive to T.J. Maxx, the transfer back to the stroller and the whole shopping excursion there. When he finally woke up, he was back in the car and on the way home. He burst out crying because he loves to go to T.J. Maxx! (I have trained him well.) :)
On Tuesday, June 24th, Evan's Summer Camp went on a field trip to our favorite pool, Volcano Island. Dylan wanted to go, too, and I wanted to see just how organized Evan's teachers were with a class full of kids at a pool full of even more kids, so Nana, Dylan and I showed up to "spy" on the field trip. Turns out the teachers did a good job and were very organized. I didn't manage to get any pics of Evan as he was so busy with his friends, but here's Dylan, sporting my hat.
Passed out on the way home again...
Thursday, June 26th, was Evan's birthday! I presented him with 6 presents that morning and said he'd have to wait for the rest until his Daddy got home. Hiis "big gift" for the day was this Kids' Size "SMALL" LeBron James t-shirt, which was huge on him! I re-named it his LeBron James Mini-Dress! He loves it anyway! Not only is it sporting his favorite basketball player's name but it's also his favorite color -bright red- and James' # also happens to be Evan's new age.
This sign was posted outside of Evan's Summer Camp class.
Evan chose to go to Moe's for his birthday dinner.
