Evan's Birthday Party

We had Evan's "official" birthday party on Sunday June 29th, the day after Tom returned from his trip. The party was at Monkey Joe's Bouncy Place & Arcade, which the boys and I frequented all Winter. Evan picked it for his party because we'd gone there in the Spring for someone else's birthday party and his big crush, Zoe, attended that party as well. He said that we should have his party at Monkey Joe's, too, because he knew that Zoe's Mom would know how to get there. :)  We didn't have a huge crowd -- it's tough to get good attendance on the weekend before July 4th -- but he had a great time...and yes, Zoe showed up!! (Thank goodness!)

It didn't occur to me to get a group photo until almost the end of the party, after four of the kids had already left. I love the expressions in this one!

After the party, we had to say our goodbyes to Nana & Pappy, who were going to stay in a hotel that night and then fly out very early the next morning. Great visit! We miss them!

  1. Evan's Birthday Party was mesmerizing. The theme was just fabulous and all these arrangements were appropriate for him. I liked the cake as well. Our son turned 12 in the last month and it was also a fun day. We threw a hockey themed party for him at one of the finest rental outdoor San Francisco venues.
